Cox® Flexion/Distraction
Cox Flexion/Distraction Technic is type of spinal manipulation performed on a specially designed chiropractic table, which has a movable headpiece and a movable caudal piece. Each section flexes, extends, laterally bends, circumducts and distracts. The Cox Technic has a wide array of effects on the spine, including dropping intradiscal pressure, widening of the spinal canal, reducing pressure on the spinal nerves, and returning normal motion to spinal joints. This treatment is appropriate for low back, leg pain, neck pain and arm pain conditions. The Cox Technic treatment reduces pain due to disc herniation, slipped disc, ruptured disc, facet syndrome, stenosis, spondylolisthesis, neck pain, arm pain, leg pain, sciatica, and much more.
